Adult Hockey B League

Dates: Sept 21st - March 29th (26 games); Playoffs - April 5th, 12th, 19th

Location: Buccaneer Arena (7201 Hickman Road)
• All games are on SUNDAY evenings at the following times: 5:10pm, 6:30pm, 7:50pm, and 9:10pm
• No games on 10/5/08 & 2/9/09 (superbowl)
• League commissioners: Derek Hickey (BUCS), Joe Tufano
• League structure will incorporate captain/league committee to assist with rule enforcement and organization of the league.
• ALL registered B league players will receive 1 FREE ticket to the Iowa Chops preseason game @ Buccaneer arena on 10/05.

**After registration, please download the Rules and Zero Tolerance form to be printed, signed and brought in on the first day of league.

1. GAME FORMAT:
• Three (3) 20 minute running clock periods
• There will be a total of 8 teams. Each will have a minimum of 12 players (max.15) plus 1
    Goalie
• 2 minute penalties
• No slapshots above the waist
    Full slapshot will result in a face-off in the neutral zone (2nd offense –2 minute penalty)
• NO checking (2 minute penalty)
• NO fighting Fighting defined as gloves off and punches thrown
    1st fight = Game ejection + additional 2 game suspension. 2nd fight = season
    suspension with no refund!
• If the game is tied after regulation, game will be decided by a five player shoot-out
    (time permitting)

2. ROSTERS/ PLAYER ELIGIBILITY:
• Players MUST be registered in order to be eligible to play.
• Players must be 17 or older.
  Players with experience at either the junior or collegiate level must be at least 30 yrs
    old in order to play in KGGO arena adult hockey B league. No current or former
    ECHL, IHL, AHL or NHL players allowed (aka any league where player received a
    salary to play).
• Captains can request roster checks for opposing team. Non-registered/non-paid players will
    be asked to leave the ice surface. If game is played with non-registered/non-paid players,
    the team In violation of league rule will forfeit game. If violations continue, further penalties
    may be assessed.
• If a team is short on players, they can only substitute registered B league players.  Captains      and/co-captains for each team must approve/ok substitutions.

3. GENERAL INFORMATION:
• Goalies play for free. If goalie cannot make a game, he/she must notify team captain asap so
    a substitute can be arranged.  If goalie fails to arrange a replacement, penalties will apply.
    Penalty TBD by league captain committee.
• No outside alcohol may be brought into Buccaneers Arena. Players that choose to
    bring in alcohol will be subject to suspension. No alcohol on benches or in
    locker rooms.
    Players under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be given an automatic suspension for the
    remainder of the game and must leave the facility.
• Zero Tolerance Policy: Any verbal or physical abuse of any on or off-ice officials will not be
    tolerated! A minor penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct shall be assessed. If behavior is
    excessive (referee discretion), game suspensions/ejections will be assigned.
• All League ejection requests involving a players unsportsmanlike behavior will be
    reviewed / voted on by league coordinators and captain committee.
• Rosters MUST be accurate each week. Captains and alternate captains can request a
    roster check before each game. Referees will have a current copy on hand.
• Any reports of violation to league rules need to be communicated to league coordinator by
    team captains and/or alt-captains within one week of the incident.
• ALL team roster changes MUST be reviewed/approved by league coordinators (Derek

• Any exceptions to league rules MUST be reviewed/approved by league coordinator (Derek
    Hickey, Joe Tufano)
